Best flash fighting game... EVER!
I might just be saying this because I totally PWNED the leaderboards, but I really enjoyed this game. :D
This definitely has a LOT of potential... Keep it up man!
( it would be ridiculous if you could add an online multiplayer O_O ) Frankly, the AI is just... weak.
Once I figured the pattern out for one opponent, I had the rest of the game beat. So you may want to invest a little more time in mixing up their strategies.
Some of the sound effects could use some work.. They all sound very similar ( but this IS a flash game and you don't want to make it toooo big, so that's not so bad I guess )
However, the announcer's voice could stand to be a little louder / clearer.
Overall, fantastic fighting game! Great, GREAT work! :)
The mines are pretty sweet, but WAY easy to use. Maybe not in the beginning? ( I didn't try 'em 'till later ).
Either way, they simply OWNED those creeping bitches. And I only needed like.. one or two, in case I couldn't upgrade one fast enough. The last wave only took me 4 mines total.
As for the other weapons, using fully upgraded super turrets and fully upgraded rockets worked too nicely. But I liked it. :)
I simply don't see a very dynamic game here. The only change is what the user puts in, but no real effect takes place on the field of battle.
It would AWESOME to see some reactions from the creeps, based on what's on the field... maybe they "evolve" to what you try and setup, keeping you on your toes.
Dude.. do it... or I will. ;)
What a Great Game!!!
So much more fun playing this version... Much more interesting. I only lost once and that was on hard.... That time limit really puts the pressure on!
Way to go! Keep it up.
One sucky bug though.. Once I got to around x5 speed, I couldn't lose... I tried.. but couldn't.. and only on the falling challenge, at the speed I was at, it just glitches through the floors. :(
KInda disappointed, cuz I never got my score.
Awesome, yet Sucky...
I was immediately disappointed to find that I couldn't sell my mages. And even more disappointed to find the "RPG" factor lacking. Sure you gain experience per level. But then it's back to ground zero for the next level. Really, I enjoyed the game, but.....
- It would be nice to see more options for upgrades, period.
- It would also be nice to be able to sell off your warriors in order to acquire better ones.
- If you really want the sense of an RPG in this game, maybe instead of creating new units each level, you have some sort of party system, where you can carry units you've kept throughout battles, which have leveled up (or at least retain their experience), on to other battles. Maybe even be able to reposition them between waves to give a dynamic sense of strategy.
- Is there a story to this game?
These are some pretty big mods you'd have to make. So, maybe next time?
I look forward to seeing what you come up with in the future. Good luck. :)
I got to around level 20 before I started getting pissed at the little bouncy bastards!
As for constructive criticism, I'm going to have to agree with Krall and say you need more color, or at least better shading. Make the visuals a little more interesting. :)
I also agree that there should be a difficulty setup.
Other than that, it's a great game and I'm sure to play it again. Thanks!
Now just add on! :)
Couldn't actually finish this game, because of it's incredibly easy and unvaried nature. Simply needs to be more complex game-play-wise.
Wonderful graphics and smooth animation, however. :)
I almost gave up on this game in the beginning because it was hard to figure out.... but then I managed to beat the first level and now I'm hooked! I really like how you add difficulty in a more realistic way, i.e. progressing through level after level adding obstacles in the terrain and all that jazz.
Don't really have any negatives on the game. Everything is pretty well balanced. Not perfect... but.. ya know.. whatever.
Needs to be more.
Looks like a successful beta, and you could EASILY add on to such a platform. Make it bigger and more strategic!
Although, by itself, it does pwn quite hard. :)
I played and beat it twice... I thought it was going to be more challenging towards the end.. but it really wasn't.
However! It's quite awesome and I'd like to see more levels! Longer levels too!
One major glitch I found... even though I don't think too many people will stumble onto this: After you beat the game, you can still click continue, but when you do you just spawn in a big empty room and keep dying and spawning.. unless this is supposed to be the really challenging level at the end of the game... but.. nothing I've tried does anything, so I'm assuming it's a glitch.
